What you will do
- Manage and develop a team of 8-12 Mortgage Loan Officers, including performance reviews, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Drive profitable growth and meet or exceed established sales goals for the designated sub-market.
- Actively recruit new Mortgage Loan Officers to expand the team's market presence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local retail management, wealth partners, and external referral sources like realtors and attorneys.
- Ensure all loan originations comply with federal regulations, including NMLS and Regulation Z requirements.
- Guide customers through the mortgage application process, from initial prospect identification to closing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mortgage origination.
- Minimum 3+ years of management experience.
- Must be eligible for registration as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.
- Must pass a criminal background check and credit report check as required by federal law.
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage industry guidelines, sales techniques, and residential mortgage trends.
