What you will do

• Conduct intensive outreach to build relationships with educators and prospective members.
• Plan and lead phone banks, text banks, 1:1 meetings, school visits, and community events.
• Coach and develop a cohort of teacher leaders to drive campaign tactics and act as spokespeople.
• Leverage digital organizing tools and social media platforms to engage and inform the educator community.
• Track member engagement and outreach data using reporting systems like Salesforce.
• Attend community, school board, and union meetings to represent the campaign and share information.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York, NY or able to commute to the office.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in community organizing, issue-based advocacy, electoral campaigns, or Pre-K-12 education.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Access to reliable transportation for school and community visits.
• Willingness to work frequent evenings and weekends as required by campaign schedules.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start of employment.
