What you will do

• Apply process modeling and analytical frameworks to interpret complex health informatics policy environments.
• Conduct gap analyses of federal and agency-level policies to identify operational needs and barriers to standardization.
• Develop evaluation tools, logic models, and frameworks for program review and policy implementation.
• Perform organizational studies to assess program effectiveness and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Design systems and procedures to streamline operations and ensure compliance with health IT standards.
• Prepare executive-level briefings, policy memos, and comprehensive operations manuals for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy analysis supporting healthcare or health IT programs.
• Proficiency in process modeling and workflow documentation (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
• Experience with policy gap analysis and translating findings into actionable frameworks.
• Familiarity with the federal health IT policy landscape.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance for federal contracting.

Nice to have

• Experience working with VHA, CDC, CMS, DHA, or HHS.
• CHDA or CPHIMS certifications.
• Experience in Agile or SAFe program delivery environments.
• Knowledge of HL7 FHIR adoption and interoperability mandates.
• Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a relevant field.
