Medical Director, Obstetrics

Location: Fully remote within the continental United States

Salary: $250,000–$280,000 base salary annually, plus performance bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Provide medical leadership and clinical support for a multidisciplinary care team focused on perinatal health outcomes.
• Take clinical responsibility for an assigned patient population and population health metrics.
• Supervise and consult with APPs, RNs, registered dietitians, lactation consultants, and mental health specialists.
• Lead care coordination meetings and develop individualized, holistic care plans with internal clinical specialties.
• Partner with Operations and leadership to improve programs, protocols, technology-enabled tools, policies, training, and clinical performance.
• Lead episodic event reviews, conduct peer review, support team education, and participate in regular virtual call coverage for 24/7 patient availability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience practicing as an attending physician.
• Medical degree from an accredited US medical school and completion of an accredited US residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology.
• Active, unrestricted US medical license and willingness to obtain licenses in all US states.
• Active certification with the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
• Experience leading collaborative, team-based care, with strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple technology platforms and in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Telehealth, value-based care, or population health experience.
• Experience working at a Federally Qualified Health Center.
• Expertise in perinatal mental health or substance use disorder.
• Menopause Society Certification.
