Obesity Medicine Physician

Location: Fully remote, US-based; valid and unrestricted medical licensure in at least one US state required

Base annual salary: $210,000–$230,000 USD

hirify.global is a venture-backed virtual obesity medicine clinic founded in 2019 that provides multidisciplinary, evidence-based chronic weight management through telemedicine and a proprietary mobile app.

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care focused on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management.
• Review patient charts and conduct visits to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Develop treatment plans and provide medical management support for complex cases and escalated concerns.
• Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications and manage pharmacotherapy.
• Collaborate with and, when needed, supervise APPs and Registered Dietitians specializing in obesity treatment.
• Maintain clinical documentation, follow treatment protocols, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree and current ABOM board certification in Obesity Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any US state and eligibility to obtain additional state licenses; IMLC preferred.
• At least two years of post-residency attending experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Obesity Medicine, or an accredited Obesity Medicine fellowship.
• Clinical experience in obesity medicine and pharmacotherapy, including oral and injectable medications.
• Current Medicare opt-in status and willingness to work a W-2 schedule of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.
• Experience collaborating with APPs, residents, or trainees, plus strong communication and patient-centered care skills.

Nice to have

• Experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting.
• Medical fluency in Spanish.
