What you will do

• Lead the development and industrial implementation of innovative material and process solutions for fiber cement.
• Develop low-carbon and circular material solutions aligned with sustainability and business goals.
• Execute and support industrial trials across multiple production plants to scale new technologies.
• Provide technical leadership for strategic innovation and manage collaborations with universities and suppliers.
• Drive improvements in product performance, process robustness, and manufacturing cost efficiency.
• Contribute to intellectual property generation and the organization's scientific positioning.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Geosciences, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or Cement/Concrete Technology.
• Background in mineralogy and cement chemistry, with proficiency in XRD Rietveld analysis.
• Experience in applied research, process development, or industrial R&D.
• Ability to work independently on technically complex topics with strong analytical skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be based in or able to work in Kapelle-op-den-Bos, Belgium.
