What you will do

• Develop and analyze official DAF policy and position statements on treaty-related issues.
• Ensure DAF-wide compliance with arms control agreements and support inspection readiness activities.
• Plan and support treaty-related exercises, inspections, and international conferences.
• Create and manage education materials and the official DAF course for Treaty Compliance Officers.
• Review acquisition and modernization programs to ensure compliance with international treaties.
• Conduct historical research on arms control activities to produce knowledge management products.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain SAP access.
• Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, national security studies, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in treaty implementation or compliance.
• Strong critical thinking, research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Ability to form strong working relationships across Services and interagency bodies.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• Master's degree (MA/MS) in a relevant national security or political science field.
• Experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General/Flag Officer level leaders.
• Knowledge of strategic nuclear doctrine, deterrence theories, and national security strategies.
• Familiarity with the Hague Code of Conduct and Ballistic Missile Launch Notification Agreement.
