Senior Associate - Government Contracts & Accounting

Location: Washington, DC, United States. Candidates must be able to verify their legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 per year; final title and compensation depend on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Analyze financial, cost, pricing, and government contract compliance challenges for clients.
• Support government contractors with accounting, contract administration, and strategic business questions.
• Research and analyze literature, industry resources, and public, commercial, and client databases.
• Build and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets, financial models, and statistical analyses.
• Develop government contract claims, client deliverables, and customized operational solutions.
• Review work products for quality, collaborate with project teams, communicate with clients, and travel as needed.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting and finance, professional services, or litigation services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting and finance.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and exposure to analytical software such as MS Access or MS SQL Server.
• Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative research, financial analysis, and compliance assessments.
• Legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and quality-control skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFE, or CGMA certification.
• Experience with legal document management software or other analytical applications.
