Advanced Engineer, Product Engagement (Fintech)

TL;DR

Advanced Engineer, Product Engagement (MuleSoft/Java): Leading the technology team to enable product and client reporting systems with an accent on API-led connectivity and data delivery. Focus on designing microservices architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering rich client communications within a Scaled Agile framework.

Location: Must be based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (spending at least four full days each week in the office)

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers, providing mentoring, development guidance, and product delivery management.
• Design and implement technical proposals to solve complex business problems for product and client reporting.
• Develop and consume REST APIs utilizing MuleSoft 4 and API-led connectivity.
• Create technical design documentation and oversee the implementation of business requirements.
• Manage project work plans, develop estimates, and ensure quality control across team deliverables.
• Handle deployments and define coding guidelines and best practices for the engineering team.

Requirements

• Must be based in Charlottetown, PEI and comply with the workplace policy of at least four days per week in the office.
• Extreme proficiency in MuleSoft 4, Java, and REST API development.
• 3+ years of experience in full stack object-oriented development (Java) and SQL environments, preferably Snowflake.
• Proven technical team leadership experience.
• Experience with AWS (specifically EKS and EC2) and DevOps tools such as Git, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related program is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience working within the Scaled Agile framework.
• Exposure to or interest in full stack development using Node.js or Python.
