TL;DR
Advanced Engineer, Product Engagement (MuleSoft/AWS): Leading development of product and client reporting capabilities for the Vermilion Reporting Suite with an accent on MuleSoft APIs, Java, AWS, Snowflake, and content management technologies. Focus on designing integrations, solving complex technical problems, leading engineers, and delivering systems through the full software development lifecycle.

Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada; hybrid workplace model with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office.

Salary: CAD 50,000–65,000 per year, plus incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Lead technology initiatives enabling product and client reporting for the Vermilion Reporting Suite.
  • Work with clients to understand business requirements and business processes, then develop technological proposals.
  • Lead engineers through development, mentoring, delivery management, deployments, and quality control.
  • Complete technical analysis, proof of concepts, design documentation, implementation, testing, and post-implementation support.
  • Manage project estimates and work plans, support user acceptance testing, and report progress and risks.
  • Define coding guidelines, best practices, documentation, and improvements to team processes.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience developing and consuming REST APIs with MuleSoft, including MuleSoft 4 and API-led connectivity.
  • Expertise in Java, microservices, software design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
  • At least 3 years of full-stack object-oriented development experience and at least 3 years in SQL-backed environments; Snowflake experience is preferred.
  • Experience with DevOps processes, CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Git, and Bitbucket.
  • Understanding of AWS, particularly EKS and EC2, plus strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Technical team leadership experience; a bachelor's degree in an IT-related program is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Exposure to full-stack development with Node, Python, or Java.
  • Snowflake experience and a bachelor's degree in an IT-related program.
