Senior Software Developer (Java)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model

Salary: CAD 120,000–150,000 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan

What you will do

• Develop and maintain resilient microservices for a highly distributed, high-performance payment system.
• Analyze requirements, design solutions, implement software, and perform performance testing and tuning.
• Participate in system and application architecture and create system design and maintenance documentation.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code aligned with engineering standards.
• Build and operate API and microservices technologies using Spring Boot, Istio, Envoy, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Design and develop relational databases and data models using Oracle or PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience; payment-system experience is preferred.
• Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
• Strong Java background and proficiency in multiple programming languages.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, web protocols, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Netty, Maven, SQL, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with relational databases, data modeling, Oracle or PostgreSQL, microservices, and containerization.
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience, plus strong communication skills and knowledge of software engineering principles.
