What you will do

• Provide technical and team leadership for the rapidly growing API Platform business.
• Design, build, and operate mission-critical APIs that provide building blocks for frontier intelligence.
• Define technical strategy to scale systems to meet compounding growth in customers and compute demands.
• Drive product reliability, code quality, AI evaluation, and maintenance standards.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and mentorship to build a high-caliber engineering team.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate novel AI capabilities into the API platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in an engineering management role.
• Proficiency in Python (Go or Rust experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of high-traffic API design, including schema evolution, authentication, and rate limiting.
• Strong customer empathy and product sense for building ergonomic developer tools.
• Ability to manage parallel technical projects and guide teams through complex trade-offs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute beyond core engineering tasks.

• Experience with modern AI APIs, including latency tuning, streaming, and model orchestration.
