What you will be doing

  • Represent TD Insurance via oral and written advocacy before the License Appeal Tribunal (Tribunals Ontario).
  • Handle litigation aspects of files from application through resolution.
  • Draft legal documents and instruments based on legal research and legal procedures.
  • Advise and take instruction from Dispute Resolution specialists.
  • Provide regular updates and assessments using analysis of medical records, financial productions, and applicant materials.
  • Manage maintenance of files and applicable databases; coordinate directly with clients and/or external counsel to gather and provide required information and documentation.

Requirements

  • Completed Paralegal program at a recognized College.
  • Currently licensed Paralegal by the Law Society Ontario.
  • Minimum 5 years of actual LAT experience.
  • Experience mentoring/managing/overseeing paralegals and junior lawyers on LAT files.
