What you will do

• Independently handle an inventory of litigated and non-litigated legal files.
• Advise and mentor less senior attorneys within the organization.
• Prepare discovery, legal pleadings, and trial briefs in coordination with claims specialists.
• Advocate on behalf of the company and member insureds in courtroom proceedings.
• Conduct all phases of personal injury litigation, including jury trials and arbitration hearings.
• Analyze complex legal matters and identify issues with high liability exposure.

Requirements

• Law degree and active license to practice law in California.
• 5-8+ years of experience in insurance defense practice.
• Proven courtroom experience, including first or second chair trial experience.
• Expertise in personal injury litigation, liability assessment, and causation.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the US (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Ability to travel for depositions, mediations, and trials.
