What you will do

• Conduct financial investigations to support the collection of criminal monetary penalties and civil debts.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, foreclosures, and garnishments.
• Analyze tax records, credit reports, and financial data to trace debtor assets.
• Organize evidence and discovery from various sources including banks, businesses, and credit grantors.
• Coordinate with witnesses and agency officials, including preparing witnesses for court appearances.
• Monitor case progress to ensure all legal filings are submitted accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in Buffalo, NY.
• Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• High school degree required; college degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
