What you will do

  • Drive the preparatory payroll process for international entities including Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Portugal, UK, and Netherlands.
  • Manage external payroll providers, including EOR (Remote) and PEO in the US, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving tickets with speed and expertise.
  • Identify inefficiencies and automate payroll workflows between HRIS and payroll systems to enhance scalability.
  • Calculate commission structures and bonus payments in close partnership with RevOps.
  • Support the Finance team with staff cost reporting, audits, and applications for international grants and subsidies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing preparatory payroll for Germany.
  • Experience managing preparatory payroll in France and/or Spain.
  • Proven experience managing external payroll providers, EOR, and PEO providers.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Professional fluency in both English and German (written and verbal).

Nice to have

  • Experience with payroll in Austria, UK, Netherlands, US, or Portugal.
