TL;DR

Commercial Solicitor (Legal): Providing pragmatic, jargon-free legal advice and contract negotiation support for a technology solutions business with an accent on commercial and supplier agreements. Focus on drafting bespoke contracts, advising on data protection, and supporting internal stakeholders across public and private sectors.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote).

What you will do

• Review and negotiate customer, supplier, and distributor contracts.
• Draft bespoke legal agreements, including referral contracts.
• Provide ad hoc legal advice on regulatory, trademark, and termination queries.
• Deliver mandatory regulatory and contract training to internal teams.
• Support the development of legal precedents and process improvements.
• Collaborate with the wider in-house legal team on diverse commercial matters.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 0-2 years PQE.
• Strong foundation in commercial and tort law.
• Practical experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience advising on data protection provisions and data sharing agreements.
• Ability to work independently on a caseload with limited supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
