Solicitor - Employment Law

What you will do

• Conduct Employment Tribunal proceedings, including reviewing papers, drafting claims and responses, preparing witness statements, briefing counsel, and attending hearings.
• Advise insurers, insured clients, and private clients on employment disputes, HR matters, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and settlement agreements.
• Draft and review employment contracts, company handbooks, policies, and other employment documents.
• Handle complex employment projects, including collective consultation and TUPE matters.
• Prepare employment law updates and materials, deliver training, and support colleagues with hearings and investigations.
• Maintain accurate records and time entries and assist with client invoicing.

Requirements

• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law.
• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Strong professional communication, client care, analytical, problem-solving, and document-drafting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, data entry, IT, and electronic legal research skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, uphold company standards, and build client confidence.
