Paralegal (Fintech)

Location: London, with in-office work 4 days per week

What you will do

• Conduct legal research and analysis covering payment-industry compliance, data privacy, and consumer protection.
• Review, draft, and negotiate merchant agreements, processing agreements, vendor contracts, and other commercial agreements.
• Manage privacy compliance processes, including data subject requests, DPIA reviews, and related documentation.
• Manage commercial litigation with support from in-house and external counsel, including progress reporting against budgets and objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements and lead change projects through to completion.
• Develop and enhance AI-supported workflows for recurring legal tasks while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in legal studies, Law, or a related field, plus a paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a paralegal, privacy professional, or regulatory compliance professional, preferably in technology or financial services.
• Proficiency in data privacy laws, including GDPR.
• Excellent organisational, research, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the payments industry and familiarity with payment-processing systems and platforms.
• Knowledge of international payment regulations.
• Familiarity with the safe use of AI in sensitive processes.
