TL;DR

Senior Counsel, Employment (iGaming): Providing comprehensive legal guidance on labor and employment matters across the US and Canada with an accent on litigation management, regulatory compliance, and policy development. Focus on delivering practical, business-oriented solutions for complex workplace issues within a highly regulated industry.

Location: Must be based in the US (Hybrid: 4 days/week in Las Vegas, NV, Alpharetta, GA, or Chicago, IL; remote considered for exceptional candidates).

Salary: $175,000–$200,000

What you will do

  • Advise management and HR on the full spectrum of US employment and labor law, including wage and hour compliance, leaves, and terminations.
  • Manage administrative charges and proceedings before federal and state agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations into workplace complaints, harassment, and misconduct allegations.
  • Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, including restrictive covenants and compliance policies.
  • Partner with the Associate General Counsel to oversee global immigration and work visa processing.
  • Provide legal support for Canadian labor and employment matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active US state bar membership.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant employment and labor law experience at a national law firm or in-house.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employment litigation, including federal court pleadings, motions, and ESI discovery.
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for business stakeholders.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and meet regulatory background investigation standards.

Nice to have

  • Significant experience with immigration matters.
  • Experience advising on data privacy in the US or internationally.
  • Prior experience with Canadian labor and employment law.
  • Federal judicial clerkship experience.
