Assistant General Counsel (Employment): Providing comprehensive legal advice on enterprise-level employment policies, investigations, and risk assessments across domestic and international jurisdictions. Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; or Washington, DC with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.
Salary: $170,000 – $255,000 USD (depending on location zone).

What you will do
- Advise the People and Compliance teams on ethics and employment law strategy for US and international operations.
- Partner with leadership on benefits, compensation, immigration, and corporate policy matters.
- Develop and review procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and international employment regulations.
- Manage employment-related investigations, pre-litigation demand letters, and regulatory charges.
- Structure and draft separation agreements, onboarding documents, and employment contracts.
- Support legal aspects of business combinations, partnerships, and joint ventures.
Requirements
- J.D. degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 7+ years of legal practice experience, including at least 3 years specializing in employment law.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance business needs against legal risks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal requirements to non-legal partners.
- Proven ability to manage legal budgets and outside counsel effectively.
- Must be able to work from the Menlo Park, New York, or Washington, DC offices at least 3 days per week.
