Sr Systems Engineer (EDA)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Yokohama Office, Japan

What you will do

• Provide first-line local IT support for all sites within Japan.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux, Windows, and Mac systems.
• Resolve application issues across multiple platforms, including smart devices.
• Act as a local escalation point for the service desk to solve user issues.
• Manage system and accessory inventory following strict asset management processes.
• Manage Jira tickets while ensuring strict adherence to SLAs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role, preferably within a multinational company.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network systems and multiple OS (Linux, Windows, Mac) in a global environment.
• Experience with systems tools, specifically SCCM.
• Ability to drive and own technical initiatives and projects independently.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at the Yokohama office.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI scripting, Python, and JSON.
• Deep expertise in OS configuration and hardware troubleshooting for laptops and desktops.
• Knowledge of the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) business.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with global R&D and IT staff.
