Location: Okanagan Campus - Kelowna, BC, Canada
Salary: $5,365.42 - $7,709.92 CAD Monthly

What you will do
- Support and implement marketing and recruitment strategies for the Black Student MD Admissions Pathway, including outreach workshops, recruitment events, and information sessions (in person or online).
- Provide admissions administrative support for Black applicants, including inquiries, application evaluation and adjudication, advising on course selection and preparation, and supplemental/non-academic evaluations.
- Deliver personalized, ongoing student support for Black medical students across the Interior, including planning orientation and graduation activities and supporting mentorship program oversight.
- Engage in community partnership building and anti-racism policy discussions with admissions, REDI, Student Affairs, and Faculty of Medicine stakeholders.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support sommittee activities related to the Black Student MD Admissions Sommittee and other relevant groups.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including willingness to respect diverse perspectives.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex policies, regulations, and procedures fairly and consistently.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with empathy and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and long hours during critical periods.
Nice to have, if you have
- Lived experience of Black students in Canada, including experience building relationships with community members and organizations.
- Demonstrated experience creating new initiatives and assessing impact.
- Experience using software at an intermediate level (e.g., Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
