What you will do

  • Run and analyze conflict reports to identify potential adversities for new client matters and incoming attorneys.
  • Conduct detailed research on prospective clients and corporate affiliations using internal and external databases.
  • Communicate with attorneys to evaluate responses and assist in resolving conflicts with professional detail.
  • Implement ethical screens to manage confidentiality and conflict requirements.
  • Maintain the New Files Tracker and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistency.
  • Coordinate with clients to verify case information and required documentation.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a law firm Conflicts, New Business Intake, or Risk Management department.
  • Experience researching corporate structures, including parent companies and subsidiaries.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; ProLaw experience preferred.
  • Ability to work 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law practice and applicable legal ethics rules.
  • Paralegal Certificate or completion of an ethics course preferred.
