What you will do

• Lead R&D initiatives focused on the benchmarking, characterization, and performance optimization of quantum systems.
• Drive the design, development, and evaluation of novel quantum-classical hybrid algorithms.
• Design and execute experiments to characterize QPU contributions within hybrid workflows.
• Develop scalable benchmarking frameworks, tools, and processes to improve technical rigor.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of results to inform technical strategy and guide system improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with physicists, computer scientists, and product teams to integrate multidisciplinary insights.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of R&D experience with a record of independently leading complex technical initiatives.
• Deep proficiency in Python; experience with C++ is considered an asset.
• Strong foundation in algorithm development, machine learning, Monte Carlo methods, statistical physics, or optimization.
• Proven ability to interpret, reproduce, and critically evaluate complex algorithms from scientific literature.
