Salary: $6,251.00 - $8,986.00 CAD Monthly

What you will do
- Develop and optimize protocols for the production and characterization of carbon fibers and composite materials.
- Conduct experimental research on sustainable manufacturing processes including melt-spinning and carbonization.
- Design and direct laboratory experiments, interpreting results to provide technical recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports, project deliverables, and documentation for research sponsors.
- Train and supervise undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory procedures.
- Oversee laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Applied Science required.
- Minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience conducting experimental research in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in a research environment.
Nice to have
- MASc or PhD in Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in alternative-feedstock carbon fiber manufacturing or nonwoven materials processing.
- Experience in composite materials manufacturing and characterization.
