TL;DR
Research and Outreach Project Facilitator (Science/Research): Supporting the delivery of project objectives for the Vision Research Cluster at with an accent on grant development, stakeholder collaboration, and research output management. Focus on coordinating complex research activities, facilitating academic-industry partnerships, and managing experiential learning pathways for trainees.
Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada ( Hospital Site)
Compensation: $5,365.42 - $7,709.92 CAD Monthly

What you will do
- Coordinate collaboration across investigators, trainees, and external partners to support research and training activities.
- Contribute to the development of research outputs, including grant applications and manuscripts.
- Identify funding opportunities and support strategic proposal development.
- Oversee the delivery of research-related events and engagement activities.
- Develop experiential learning pathways and identify engagement opportunities for trainees.
- Liaise with the biotechnology industry to foster academic-industry partnerships.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least two years of related experience.
- Must be based in Vancouver, BC for onsite work at the Hospital Site.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in a research environment.
- Ability to exercise tact, discretion, and diplomacy when handling confidential data.
Nice to have
- MD or PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Three years of experience in research coordination or grant writing.
- Knowledge Translation Professional certification.
- Experience working with Patient-Oriented Research or partners with lived experience.
