What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs.
• Own features end-to-end, from initial design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
• Create technical design documents and drive implementation plans with clarity.
• Partner with Product and Experience teams to deliver shared platform capabilities across multiple product lines.
• Contribute to a product-driven roadmap, prioritizing tradeoffs to ship iteratively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
• Proficiency with Go (Golang) or a strong ability to ramp up quickly.
• Experience designing public APIs, with knowledge of versioning, backwards compatibility, and auth.
• Familiarity with microservices, cloud-native architectures, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Proven ability to thrive in a high-paced, self-directed startup environment.

Nice to have

• Prior experience building platform or shared services that span multiple products.
• Experience in the cloud-native, containers, or security ecosystem (CNCF).
• Meaningful open source contributions, especially as a maintainer.
