Salary: $157,000 - $184,000 USD

What you will do
- Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs.
- Own features end-to-end, from initial design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
- Create technical design documents and drive implementation plans with clarity.
- Partner with Product and Experience teams to deliver shared platform capabilities across multiple product lines.
- Contribute to a product-driven roadmap, prioritizing tradeoffs to ship iteratively.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
- Proficiency with Go (Golang) or a strong ability to ramp up quickly.
- Experience designing public APIs, with knowledge of versioning, backwards compatibility, and auth.
- Familiarity with microservices, cloud-native architectures, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-paced, self-directed startup environment.
Nice to have
- Prior experience building platform or shared services that span multiple products.
- Experience in the cloud-native, containers, or security ecosystem (CNCF).
- Meaningful open source contributions, especially as a maintainer.
