Senior Software Engineer (Customer Platform) (Go)

Location: United States - Remote

Base salary: $157,000–$184,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs used across multiple products.
• Own features end to end, from technical design and implementation through rollout and iteration.
• Partner with Product Management and the Experience team to deliver customer-facing platform capabilities.
• Create technical design documents and drive clear, confident design plans.
• Contribute to a product-driven roadmap by prioritizing trade-offs and shipping iteratively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
• Proficiency with Go or the ability to ramp up quickly; platform services are written in Go.
• Experience designing and evolving public APIs, including versioning, backward compatibility, authentication, and usability.
• Familiarity with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to build observable and resilient production services.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States, with strong communication, collaboration, and self-direction.

Nice to have

• Experience building platform or shared services spanning multiple products or customer experiences.
• Experience in cloud-native, container, security, or CNCF ecosystems.
• Meaningful open-source contributions, especially as a maintainer or regular contributor.
