Backend Software Engineer (Go)

What you will do

• Build and scale Go services that power agent quoting, configuration, and application-submission tools.
• Partner closely with App and Checkout teams to manage tight coupling between surfaces.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and mentor team members in a collaborative environment.
• Resolve partner-specific edge cases as distribution volume scales.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in peer code reviews.
• Utilize AI coding tools like Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor as a standard part of the daily workflow.
• Improve automation and CI/CD practices across the team.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US (E-Verify used for employment eligibility).
• 3+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Professional experience with Go and owning services end-to-end.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI).
• Experience using Docker for local development and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated fluency in using AI tools for real engineering tasks.
