Technical Recruiter

Location: Reading, United Kingdom; hybrid workplace

Salary: £40,000–£60,000 per year OTE, including base salary and any applicable target bonus.

What you will do

• Source passive and active candidates through networking, Boolean and natural-language searches, database mining, job boards, websites, social media, referrals, and cold calling.
• Recruit for technical roles including network architecture, storage administration, virtualization engineering, private and public cloud, automation, and orchestration.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to identify talent channels and build project teams.
• Coordinate interviews, office visits, recruiting events, candidate reviews, and feedback collection.
• Post approved positions, screen applications, maintain applicant tracking and research databases, and support reference checks.
• Maintain competitive intelligence data and participate in recruiting projects.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in candidate research or professional recruitment, preferably in IT, consulting, professional services, or a search firm.
• Experience recruiting hardware and software professionals, including developers, network, storage, and virtualization engineers, infrastructure architects, and pre-sales specialists.
• Strong Boolean search, natural-language search, social media, job board search, direct sourcing, and cold-calling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple searches under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with demonstrated leadership and experience coaching junior recruiters.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system.
