What you will do

• Lead the development and maintenance of core privacy compliance infrastructure, including enterprise data mapping and records of processing.
• Drive complex cross-functional privacy initiatives and operationalize scalable governance processes independently.
• Advise on U.S., European, and international privacy and AI regulatory developments relevant to internal data governance.
• Manage third-party privacy risk assessments, including vendor DPIAs, LIAs, TIAs, and due diligence.
• Support the privacy incident response program, including triage, risk assessment, and remediation coordination.
• Provide privacy advice for M&A transactions and post-close integration activities.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and membership in a state bar in good standing (or foreign equivalent).
• 8+ years of legal experience, including substantial in-house experience advising on global privacy and data governance.
• Demonstrated experience building privacy compliance infrastructure, governance frameworks, and risk rubrics.
• Ability to drive impact and engagement using limited resources in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.

Nice to have

• Experience with privacy engineering, governance tooling, or automated compliance workflows.
• Background in supporting incident response or privacy investigations.
• Fluency in internet technologies and software development.
• CIPP or related certifications.
