What you will do

• Lead the drafting and negotiation of complex Data Processing Agreements and AI-related contractual provisions for enterprise SaaS deals.
• Advise on international data transfer mechanisms, including SCCs and transfer impact assessments.
• Provide strategic counseling on GDPR, the EU AI Act, and other emerging digital regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Security teams to implement Privacy by Design and conduct AI impact assessments.
• Develop scalable negotiation playbooks and training materials for global privacy and AI compliance.
• Support executive decision-making regarding legal risk and regulatory obligations in highly regulated industries.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in an EU Member State with 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience negotiating complex cloud and SaaS agreements with significant privacy components.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and international data transfer frameworks.
• Familiarity with emerging EU digital regulations, specifically the EU AI Act.
• Ability to engage effectively with technical stakeholders regarding cloud architecture and AI systems.
• English proficiency required (C1 level implied by professional context).

Nice to have

• IAPP certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.
• Experience in regulated industries like financial services, healthcare, or telecommunications.
• Fluency in French or German.
