TL;DR

Group Director, HR M&A (Semiconductor): Leading global HR strategy and execution for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with an accent on due diligence, organizational design, and talent integration. Focus on building scalable HR M&A playbooks, influencing executive stakeholders, and driving successful business outcomes in a complex, global environment.

Location: Ideally based in San Jose, California, but other locations or remote work may be considered within the US.

Salary: $210,000 – $390,000 per year (California range).

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end HR M&A strategy, including due diligence, Day 1 readiness, and integration execution.
  • Develop and refine HR M&A operating models, playbooks, and governance tools for scalable global execution.
  • Partner with executive leadership to shape transaction strategy regarding organizational design, culture, and rewards.
  • Manage cross-functional teams across HR, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure coordinated transaction outcomes.
  • Drive talent assessment, retention strategies, and employee transition plans to support business continuity.
  • Provide thought leadership on M&A priorities and capture lessons learned to strengthen organizational capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in corporate HR or HR consulting.
  • 8+ years of specific HR M&A experience, including due diligence and integration planning.
  • Proven track record of leading complex global programs and influencing senior decision-makers.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, particularly within the software or semiconductor sectors.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with high ambiguity and tight timelines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into decisive actions.
