Field Technology Specialist (IT Infrastructure)

Location: Newport, Vermont, USA; field-based work with travel of up to 85%

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems supporting physical security and IT infrastructure.
• Deploy cameras, access-control devices, biometric systems, power supplies, locking hardware, and related equipment.
• Work with video and data cabling, hand and power tools, technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and CAD plans.
• Evaluate system performance, provide quality-assurance feedback, and support hardening and configuration of Windows environments.
• Coordinate project materials and equipment, track hardware receipt, and support timely delivery of project outputs.
• Work indoors and outdoors, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working at heights.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in low-voltage installation, security systems, or IT hardware deployment.
• Understanding of IP-based systems, networking fundamentals, video surveillance, low-voltage infrastructure, and basic electrical theory.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, design plans, and CAD drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel approximately 85% of the time.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and attention to workmanship.

Nice to have

• A+, Network+, Security+, BICSI, or similar industry certification.
