Salary: $20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct research for daily stories and long-term projects.
• Book guests and arrange studios for news and feature interviews.
• Log recordings of interviews and events.
• Obtain archival tape and assist with basic audio production.
• Attend daily editorial meetings and pitch story ideas.
• Assist with digital production and write digital posts.

Requirements

• Must be a current student or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Must be able to work on-site in Washington, D.C.
• Keen interest in journalism and public media.
• Some prior journalism experience (e.g., college radio or local station internship).
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
