What you will do

• Assist with the full scope of production, including research and gathering visual elements for ongoing and breaking news stories.
• Monitor social media sites and the web to identify relevant news developments.
• Initiate and maintain communication with platform partners.
• Participate in daily network-wide conference calls.
• Establish and maintain working story and contact files.
• Monitor competitive broadcasts, cable, and digital platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year of professional network news experience.
• Working knowledge of TV production.
• Must be willing to work in Chicago, IL.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overnights under tight deadlines.
