Strategic Communications Coordinator: Planning and delivering integrated communications projects and digital initiatives to advance institutional narratives and presidential priorities with an accent on high-quality content development and cross-platform digital strategy. Focus on researching and drafting strategic materials, managing social media editorial planning, and coordinating institutional campaigns to strengthen the university’s public profile.

Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (hirify.global Vancouver Campus)

Salary: $6,747.50 - $9,701.42 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Develop communications strategies, messaging frameworks, and resources for presidential engagements and institutional priorities.
  • Research, write, and edit high-quality communications materials, including briefing notes and backgrounders.
  • Lead the planning and execution of institutional social media initiatives and editorial calendars.
  • Produce and adapt digital-first content, including short-form video, photography, and social media assets.
  • Provide consultative support to university partners on digital campaigns and institutional messaging.
  • Monitor performance of digital communications and stay current on emerging trends and platforms.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Experience supporting digital communications and social media content creation.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a complex organizational environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Nice to have

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, or business.
  • Experience creating digital content such as photography, video editing, and graphic design.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
