Salary: $160,000 - $170,000 Base + Bonus

What you will do

• Execute strategic public policy engagement plans to drive business objectives at state, provincial, and local levels.
• Research and track emerging policy issues, engaging internal teams to determine company positions and risk mitigation strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials to advance public policy interests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including New Site Development, Engineering, Legal, and Tax on key workstreams.
• Manage contract lobbyists, association memberships, and coalition partnerships.
• Represent the company at local meetings, testify on policy matters, and develop messaging collateral.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in government relations, economic development, or community engagement in Eastern North America.
• Experience representing business interests before government officials.
• Proven ability to understand complex issues and identify effective action plans.
• Experience working on policies related to energy, artificial intelligence, taxes, sustainability, and infrastructure development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.

• Experience working in a matrixed organization.
• Experience managing contract lobbyists and working as an internal lobbyist for a private company.
