What you will do

• Lead the development and delivery of strategic communications and media relations tactics.
• Act as the primary media contact and spokesperson for the organization.
• Monitor regional and national news to identify and manage reputation-impacting issues.
• Create and edit diverse content including news releases, key messages, and social media copy.
• Provide strategic communication counsel to senior leadership and business partners.
• Support crisis communications and participate in on-call coverage.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of progressive experience in a strategic communications or public relations role.
• Postsecondary education in Communications or Public Relations.
• Proven experience in media relations, reputation management, and acting as a corporate spokesperson.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to distill complex information.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Dartmouth, NS.
