Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

What you will do

• Manage and optimize production Kubernetes clusters in Google Kubernetes Engine through Terraform.
• Design and implement golden paths, automation strategies, and self-service infrastructure for development teams.
• Create infrastructure solutions that enable teams to build and deploy applications safely and efficiently.
• Support cloud compliance with SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials standards.
• Provide technical expertise and act as the point of contact for GCP and Kubernetes-related queries.
• Participate in a rolling on-call rota.

Requirements

• Extensive experience administering and optimizing large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes tooling, including Helm, kustomize, and GitOps methodologies such as ArgoCD.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, GKE, and production cluster maintenance.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Solid programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience creating developer-focused documentation and self-service solutions, with empathy for internal teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and CDK in a multi-cloud environment.
• Experience implementing or maintaining SOC2 and ISO-27001 cloud compliance standards.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog.
• Experience implementing cloud infrastructure security best practices.
