Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform (GCP/Kubernetes)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $190,000–$225,000 annually, depending on US pay zone. Equity includes 6,000 stock options, with an annual performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary.

What you will do

• Define the technical vision and multi-quarter strategy for enterprise cloud infrastructure across multiple engineering teams.
• Architect GCP and Kubernetes capabilities for scalable, secure, and reliable platform operations.
• Build LLM-powered and agentic platform tools, including self-healing infrastructure, automated root-cause analysis, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted incident response.
• Set standards for SLOs, incident management, observability, access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, capacity planning, and FinOps.
• Productize CI/CD, deployment, and build tooling into a cohesive self-service developer platform using GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and ArgoCD.
• Lead complex cross-team infrastructure initiatives, mentor engineers, and shape engineering practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Expert-level Google Cloud Platform experience, including cloud networking, protocols, and security; AWS experience is a plus.
• Extensive experience architecting and operating self-managed or managed Kubernetes environments at scale.
• Experience scaling data storage and streaming systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or Kafka.
• Strong software development skills in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript, with experience establishing practices adopted across teams.
• Experience with Terraform, GitOps, declarative CI/CD pipelines, and scalable OpenTelemetry-based monitoring and tracing.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to evaluate generated code for security, correctness, and maintainability.

Nice to have

• Experience with the infrastructure required to run AI/ML workloads reliably at scale.
• AWS experience.
