TL;DR

Director of Sales (Life Sciences): Leading and developing a team of mid-market Account Executives targeting Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and CRO accounts with an accent on rigorous deal discipline using MEDDIC and go-to-market strategy. Focus on scaling the sales team, optimizing the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and driving consistent quota attainment in the life sciences vertical.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco (in-office Tue/Wed/Thu, remote Mon/Fri)

Salary: Base $210,000 - $230,000, OTE $420,000 - $460,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of 4-6 mid-market Account Executives focusing on Biotech, Pharma, and CRO verticals.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for the sales team, from designing the interview process to onboarding.
  • Implement and reinforce a MEDDIC-based selling framework and conduct structured deal reviews.
  • Own forecast accuracy and pipeline health using CRM data and deal inspection.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product to define and refine the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Act as an executive sponsor on strategic deals to model value-based selling.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • 5+ years in sales management roles of increasing scope.
  • Background selling SaaS software into the Life Sciences vertical is required.
  • Deep expertise in MEDDIC sales methodology is required.
  • Proven track record of consistent quota attainment and team-level success.
  • Ability to travel 60-70% of the time within the territory.
