Principal Reliability Engineer (Hardware/Electrical)

Principal Reliability Engineer (Hardware/Electrical): Leading the development and qualification of new products with enhanced signal and power capabilities for the Next-Gen Affera Capital program with an accent on technical reliability studies and risk analysis. Focus on executing quality deliverables, conducting design of experiments (DOE), and ensuring system reliability for First-In Human feasibility studies.

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, USA. Minimum 4 days a week onsite.

Salary: $132,000 - $198,000

What you will do

• Lead a small team of engineers supporting development and qualification of new products on an aggressive timeline.
• Develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies and design of experiments (DOE).
• Execute risk analysis studies for new designs and processes as a Quality Core Team Member (QCTM).
• Compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics to investigate failure risks.
• Develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company and governmental agency objectives.
• Propose design or formulation changes to improve overall system and process reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Must possess valid U.S. work authorization.
• Experience in Product Development or Clinical/Feasibility project engineering.
• Proven expertise in Design Verification (DV) and Risk Management.
• Proven experience serving as a Quality Core Team Member (QCTM).
