What you will do
- Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for medical device applications.
- Execute schematic entry and collaborate with PCB layout teams for board and flex cable design.
- Develop, document, and analyze board-level and system-level verification test plans.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues at component, board, and system levels using root cause analysis.
- Evaluate and qualify electronic components such as displays, touch panels, and batteries.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and quality engineering teams to integrate hardware solutions.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in electronics design and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and USB.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Irvine, CA.
Nice to have
- Experience with medical device regulatory standards such as IEC 60601-1.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with electrical simulation tools like PSPICE or Multisim.
- Programming experience in C for embedded systems or proficiency with Matlab.
