What you will do

• Design and analyze optical devices and demonstrate prototypes.
• Develop and test systems based on optics, photonics, and laser technologies.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to specify and qualify active and passive optical components.
• Implement test procedures and select appropriate instrumentation for system validation.
• Perform quantitative root cause analysis for technical problems and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide constructive technical feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
• 5-10 years of experience in Optical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in digital and analog electronics circuit design and real-time embedded firmware development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Strong mathematical, mechanical, and analytical problem-solving skills.
