What you will do

• Define fiber interconnect strategies and architectures for server and switch platforms, focusing on co-packaged optics implementations.
• Architect fiber routing topologies within and between rack enclosures, managing bend radius and cable tray occupancy.
• Specify optical shuffle and fan-out assemblies, including MPO/MTP trunk cables and connector standards.
• Drive optical cable management designs for 1U–4U server chassis, including routing channels and strain-relief.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to define rack-level structured cabling requirements.
• Own the optical Bill of Materials (BOM) for platform programs.

Requirements

• M.S. in Optical Engineering, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in optical communications hardware, with 5+ years in data center or HPC interconnects.
• Expertise in structured cabling for high-density racks, MPO routing, and shuffle design.
• Deep knowledge of fiber optic connectors, end-face geometry, and IEC 61300-3-35 criteria.
• Proficiency with fiber troubleshooting tools (OTDR, OCDR) and mechanical CAD tools like SolidWorks.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable U.S. law.
