Salary: $158,600–$237,600 per annum

What you will do
- Drive the end-to-end development of external light source technology from concept to volume manufacturing.
- Manage the full life-cycle including design selection, procurement, characterization, and reliability qualification.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors to resolve performance, yield, and supply chain issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, packaging, firmware, and quality teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Contribute to the development of additional external optical components and fiber sub-assemblies.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10-15 years of experience, or Master’s/PhD with 5-10 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in semiconductor DFB laser diodes and laser physics.
- Proven experience with laser assembly, packaging techniques, and reliability assessment programs.
- Experience with vendor engagements for component procurement and managing manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in free-space design software like Zemax or Code-V and data analysis tools like JMP.

- Familiarity with Silicon Photonics systems.
