What you will do

• Build and own the partnerships strategy in Japan across enterprise, SI, cloud, and public sector ecosystems.
• Source, structure, and close strategic agreements that drive revenue and product adoption.
• Develop joint go-to-market motions, including co-selling and embedded deployments.
• Act as the senior relationship owner for key partners, engaging C-suite and technical stakeholders.
• Translate partner feedback into product insights to refine Devin’s use cases.
• Collaborate with international leadership to shape the broader APAC strategy.

Requirements

• Fluent in Japanese and English required.
• Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships in Japan within enterprise software, AI, or deep tech.
• Strong experience working with large enterprises, system integrators, or cloud ecosystems in Japan.
• Ability to navigate Japanese business culture and decision-making structures at an executive level.
• High level of technical fluency to position complex AI and software engineering solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to structure and close complex, multi-party commercial agreements.

Nice to have

• Experience building a partnerships function from zero to one in Japan.
• Background in technical roles (engineering, solutions) transitioned into commercial leadership.
• Experience driving co-sell or ecosystem-led growth in high-growth SaaS or AI companies.
