TL;DR

Account Director, Digital Natives & Startups - Japan (AI): Drive new business opportunities through the full sales cycle for AI products with an accent on pipeline generation, enterprise deployments, and value-driven strategies. Focus on partnering with engineering to execute complex customer programs, achieving consumption revenue targets, and influencing product roadmap via industry insights.

Location: Based in Tokyo, Japan. Hybrid model of 3 days in the office per week with relocation assistance offered.

What you will do

  • Build and manage pipeline of new business opportunities from generation to closure
  • Lead enterprise prospects through consideration to successful AI deployment
  • Partner with solutions and research engineering on complex customer programs
  • Own consumption revenue targets and analyze metrics for stakeholder insights
  • Monitor industry landscape to contribute to product roadmap and strategies
  • Collaborate across sales, marketing, operations, finance, product, and engineering

Requirements

  • 7+ years selling SaaS/PaaS with >$1M annual revenue targets for 3+ years
  • Managing complex sales cycles with enterprise customers and closing deals with fast-growing companies
  • Working directly with C-level executives
  • Communicating technical concepts to customers and stakeholders
  • Leading high-visibility customer events like CABs, conferences, product launches
  • Gathering and processing market intelligence on industry, competitors, customers
