What you will do

• Answer the desk phone professionally as the first point of contact for the assignment desk.
• Visually verify UGC video for rights and clearances, and manage video elements on the grid.
• Request and coordinate video from stations, including cutting and sharing video from stations.
• Monitor daily lineups (DLs) and ensure relevant video elements are added to designated Slack threads.
• Use AI transcription for feeds and request video when reaching out to affiliate stations for editorial information.
• Assist with booking travel for reporters and field teams, and travel to breaking news events to coordinate on-site coverage.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in television production.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for a fast-paced, team-oriented newsroom environment.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn newsroom systems and tools (e.g., Slack, iNews).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends.
