Team Leader – Motorsports Cylinder Head Team (Engineering): Leading the execution of cylinder head machining, development, and inspection for racing programs with an accent on high-precision CNC porting and technical coordination. Focus on optimizing airflow development, managing workload across motorsports programs, and ensuring repeatable, race-ready hardware quality.
Location: Onsite in Pontiac, Michigan (expected to report 5 times per week)

What you will do
- Lead daily operations of the cylinder head department, managing workload planning, timing, and prioritization across active motorsports programs.
- Coordinate machining and development for LMDh, GT3, and Chevy Performance programs, including airflow development for future engines.
- Provide technical leadership on Newen single-point programming, cutter selection, valve grinding, and guide honing.
- Own communication and scheduling between engineering, program management, CNC porting, and inspection teams.
- Oversee setup and use of precision measuring tools and review inspection reports to resolve quality issues quickly.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment across the machine shop, washroom, and grinding room.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cylinder head machining and motorsports engine hardware preparation.
- Hands-on expertise with Newen single-point machining and Serdi valve seat equipment.
- Strong knowledge of valve seat machining, guide sizing, spring pad machining, and cylinder head development.
- Proficiency in precision measurement methods, tooling setup, and repeatable machining practices.
- Ability to translate engineering requests into clear shop execution plans and work orders.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of experience supporting high-performance or racing engine programs.
- Experience with cylinder head development for prototype or competition applications.
- Familiarity with CNC porting coordination and inspection scan review.
- Prior leadership experience.
